This 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B STi is #399 of 400 examples produced for the Japanese market. The car is finished in Rally Blue over a black and blue interior, and a turbocharged 2.2-liter flat-four drives all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.

Equipment includes 22B-specific bodywork, an electronically locking center differential, an adjustable rear wing, gold-finished 17″ BBS wheels, red-finished brake calipers, and automatic climate control. A recent service was done on the car at Repasi Motorworks in Connecticut.

This 22B STi has 47k kilometers (~29k miles) and is offered with manufacturer’s literature, tools, import documents. The serialized plaque on the center console identifies this car as #399 in the series of 400.

The Impreza 22B STi was produced between March and August 1998 to celebrate both Subaru’s 40th anniversary as well as its third consecutive FIA World Rally Championship. All examples were finished in World Rally Blue and featured a model-specific vented aluminum hood with a hood scoop, widened fenders, rocker extensions, and an adjustable rear wing.

Additional equipment includes fog lights with STi-branded covers, STi fender badges, power-folding side mirrors, tinted windows, a rear window wiper, a “22B STi” trunk badge, and an STi branded exhaust tip.

The right-hand-drive cabin features black cloth upholstery with blue inserts as well as matching door and interior panels. The manually adjustable Recaro front seats are accented by red stitching and STi embroidery on the backrests. Additional features include automatic climate control, power windows, and STi-branded pedals and door sill covers.
